MAKEUP WITH ALISON

Returning home to Dublin in 2020 after ten years in London unexpectedly brought me back to the beauty world.

After spending several years in my twenties working in the Beauty Hall at Brown Thomas, I went on to manage a makeup academy for a well-known Irish makeup brand. My career has always lived within the retail and education space, from skincare trainer for Trilogy NZ, New Zealand’s number one natural skincare brand, to six years in the world of diamonds creating global training materials for the De Beers Group.

Despite exploring different industries, beauty was never far from my heart, and I eventually found my way back to where I belong.
Education has always been my true passion. There is nothing more rewarding to me than helping people understand their skin, learn how to care for it properly, and feel confident applying makeup in a way that works for them.

 

Now in my forties, I often hear women express frustration that the makeup they once loved no longer sits well on their skin. Skincare is a lifelong skill, one that needs to evolve as we do, and learning how to adapt is key to feeling confident at every age.

Equally, I love educating younger people so they can build strong skincare habits early, setting them up to care for their skin properly for life.
